a papulosquamous inflammatory dermatitis that affects less than 1% of the population.

Classic lichen planus typically presents

as erythematous to violaceous flat-topped papules that are pruritic and polygonal.

In actinic LP, specifically,

affected people develop mildly itchy, coin-shaped patches on sun exposed areas such as the face, the neck and the backs of the hands.
